He explained what was to happen next, and I understood the procedure when I come to the hospital for a barium meal. I am pleased that tests are being carried out to solve my throat problem. Alice Parkes

Mr Hewes was very empathetic and appears very proficient as a surgeon. His team, particularly his secretary, were extremely accommodating around my personal circumstances and the scheduling of the operation.

I attended the appointment with my mother who is the patient. This was the follow up consultation to her CT scan earlier that day. We were very reassured by the kind attention of Mr Hewes in listening to her symptoms and experience to date before the physical examination. The CT results were then disclosed and he explained the resultant options available in a compassionate manner. The Hospital care was offered promptly following referral by our GP.
